Independance Day Gift from Indian Bank to the Little Sisters of the Poor at Kolkata!
On the occasion of the 115th anniversary of their foundation on 15th August 2021 the Indian Bank wished to donate something for the elderly people. The whole team came to the Home on the previous day and presented 170 beautiful colorful bed sheets. The DGM & Zonal Manager Dhara Siva Prasad presented the sheets. They were happy to sponsor also all the three meals of August 30, 2021, the feast day of our Mother Foundress, Saint Jeanne Jugan.

The Grandparents Day was very grand at Little Sisters of the Poor, in St. Joseph’s Home in Kolkata. The day began with the Eucharistic celebration by Archbishop Thomas D’Souza highlighting the role of grandparents and the elders. The lunch was sponsored by Kenilworth Hotel. Jubilee celebrations on Grandparents Day! Chennai - 25th and 26th July 2021!
On 25th July 2021, in Chennai, we had a grand celebration keeping in mind the theme proposed by Our Holy Father, that we are called to console and make the elderly happy. So, we made the day very meaningful by offering the Eucharist of that day for their intentions. Grandparents Day at Bangalore St Joseph! 25th July 2021!
On July 25th 2021, We, the Little Sisters of the Poor celebrated the First Grandparents and the Elders Day instituted by Pope Francis. The celebration began on 24th July at 4 pm with a prayer service, the Eucharistic celebration for the intentions of the Elderly Residents on 25th July and concluded with a lovely program given by the youngsters, particularly our salaried personnel. Goa - New Foundation celebrates Grandparents Day!
The 25th of July being the World Day of Grand-Parents we wanted to make it memorable for our four Residents, so we had a small community council to put things together. Two days of Celebration at Coonoor! World Grandparents and the Elders Day!

Grandparents Day Celebration at Tuticorin 25th July 2021
