GE India Industrial Pvt Ltd, Whitefield welcomes the elderly Residents of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Bangalore for a picnic!

On May 4, 2024, the elderly Residents, accompanied by Little Sisters, and volunteers set out towards Whitefield for a picnic at GE India Industrial Pvt. Ltd. It was Ms. Nancy & her team from GE who invited and organised this event. As soon as the Residents, the Little Sisters & the volunteers arrived, the Vernova Volunteers of GE gave them a warm welcome.

Then they were accompanied by Nancy & her team personally to a beautiful hall. When a male singer sang solo Kannada songs accompanied by his guitar, followed by singing and dancing by some of the elderly Residents, gents and ladies, which delighted all of them. Then followed Tombola, musical chair for ladies, games filling the glass with small balls, darts etc. The Volunteers filled the Residents with joy and happiness bringing back memories of their younger days.

Then they were accompanied to a lovely open air dining room, served with lovely delicious Indian Veg Lunch of variety of delicious dishes, they could not tell which was better.

The GE volunteers showed them the engine of Aerospace. They accompanied the elderly who needed help and support. Then in evening when it was near their Departure, Mr. J. Mani, the Chief Executive of Verona Volunteers, presented each one with a gift of a lovely Bag Pack.

Then, the Residents were led to the dining hall for tea. A lovely packet of lovely delicious Veg cutlet, mint chutney, and a slice of cake. Plus, tea or coffee as each desired. As this lovely entertainment, an adventure and picnic ended, the elderly Residents expressed their thanks and gratitude to all Vernova Volunteers of GE for their kindness & love shown towards them, elderly people.
