The Residents and the Little Sisters of Mysore and Bangalore Perpetual Secours Homes came to our Home as pilgrims of Jubilee Year, as our Home is designated as one of the pilgrim sites to obtain the plenary indulgences of the Jubilee year. It was a great joy to welcome them.

They were the first group of large pilgrims to our Home. .As soon as they arrived, they were served refreshments in the multi-purpose hall. As it was nearly time for Mass, all the residents proceeded to the chapel which is 100 years old. The Residents were well prepared with confession the previous day and they were warmly welcomed by the community at their arrival. It was a great surprise for them to meet Bishop Emeritus of Mysore Most Rev. K. A. William, who presided the ceremony. At 11 am the Eucharist began with a Solemn Entrance with the Jubilee Cross.
The homily was trilingual and Bishop explained the significance of having the Jubilee Cross, so as to be reminded of Christ’s love for each of us individually and he also reminded the Residents of their duty during this year to pray for all who frequent the home that they may experience the joy of being pilgrims of hope.
Then they were served a special lunch in the Multi-Purpose Hall which was sponsored by various donors. They had an enjoyable time with entertainment animated by the aspirants and the staff. After a cup of tea, they left for their homes with a gift and their dinner box, not forgetting to thank Mother Catherine Mary Immaculate for organizing the day. How could we thank the Lord enough for all the graces we receive being in this home as we help the faithful in gaining the indulgences of the jubilee.
