Celebrating Commitment: Jeanne Jugan Associates Renew Their Promises in Indian Homes of the Little Sisters of the Poor!

KOLKATA

On May 1st, 2026, ten Associates Jeanne Jugan of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Kolkata renewed their promises during the Eucharistic celebration, committing themselves to continue living the charism of St. Jeanne Jugan and to participate in our apostolic mission of caring for the Elderly. We wish them God’s blessings.

BANGALORE PERPETUAL SECOURS

On the May 1st, 2026, during the Eucharistic celebration the five Associates Jeanne Jugan of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Bangalore Perpetual D=Secours renewed their promises. After Mass they were greeted by our Residents and one of the Residents thanked them for their devoted services once a week rendered to the elderly Residents and to the Home. 

Mr. Jacob made his promise for the first time along with the other Associates. Mother Provincial who was present for the Eucharistic celebration offered him the booklet (statutes) of the Association and the pin after they renewed their promises.

Father Anthony Swamy, a Pallottine priest, along with Superior Provincial Mary Clara and the Superior of Bangalore Perpetual Secours, Noela Jacqueline Mary with the Associates after the Eucharist.

TUTICORIN

The Associates of the Little Sisters of the Poor at Tuticorin with Mother Superior Mary Vimala and Sister Jeyaseeli Francis

On May 1st 2026, the eucharist  was offered for the intentions of the associates of Jeanne Jugan at Tuticorin. They animated the liturgy with full fervor,  renewed their promises desiring to continue to serve the elderly.

After wishing the elderly, the Associates served them  breakfast. Then, the community joined them for breakfast. They are so happy to be associated with the apostolate near the elderly of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Let us pray that many more may come forward and join  to serve the elderly poor .
