Dr. Ravi Shankar was welcomed by Sr. Catherine Thomas, the nurse of the Home, at the reception and escorted to the dining hall for the celebration. He was accompanied by his family and two young grandchildren. They were greeted with a song by the resident ladies. Following this, Dr. Ravi Shankar was honoured by Mother Provincial, Mary Clara who draped a shawl over him, while Mother Catherine, the superior garlanded him.

Doctor Ravi Shankar and his family cut the cake. The residents presented him with a bouquet and a letter of appreciation was read, followed by a resident felicitating Dr. Ravi Shankar.

"Dear Doctor, I recall that you began visiting us during my time as Mother Superior. We are deeply thankful to you, doctor. You have shown our elderly Residents exceptional qualities—listening attentively and treating them with great respect.

Today, you can take comfort in seeing the Residents you have cared for still with us. For 25 years, you have been available to our Residents, and in other Homes as well, whenever the elderly required care. The Little Sisters would call you, and you consistently provided the necessary help. We are immensely grateful to you, dear doctor, for your love, concern, attention, and compassion towards our elderly Residents.

You never told the elderly, "You told me that already." Such words never came from you. We admire the wonderful qualities you possess as a doctor. Thank you very much, doctor. We are delighted to have your family with us today. Rest assured of our prayers for you and your dear family. God bless you."

It was followed by a short entertainment program featuring action songs, skits, and dances performed by both male and female residents.

He founded the Chittaprakasha Charitable Trust, a center for homeless individuals with mental illness, known as HBMI, a residential and rehabilitation center in H.D. Kota. He expressed his gratitude to the sisters for allowing him to serve at this home for 25 years and appreciated the love and respect shown to him. With this, the celebration came to a close.

Thank you, dear Dr. Ravi Shankar, for your compassionate and dedicated care for our elderly residents!
