SYED KAIF - THE OXFORD COLLEGE OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT, BANGALORE

SYED KAIF shares his experience with the elderly during his internship at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Bangalore.

During my internship at the Little Sisters of the Poor, Home for the Aged, there was a warm welcome by Sr. Josephine who introduced me about the organization history and gave me a tour of it.

I cherished moments like meeting the residents and experiencing their gratitude, especially when a 103 years old lady sang a song for me., it was beautiful moment for me.  I assisted the resident with various tasks including serving food, feeding those in need and taking residents in the wheelchair who cannot walk and had a good and funny conversation.

I learned about the resident lives and hardships, finding fulfillment in bringing them joy and comfort. The sisters who run this organization do so with immense care and dedication and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with them. They assign tasks with gratitude and bless me for my efforts.  I truly feel a part of their family through their words and actions.

I extend my deepest gratitude to Sr. Josephine for allowing me to be a part of this organization.  My time here has been incredibly enriching and I hope to continue contributing to this wonderful journey.  This internship has taught me invaluable lessons about  caring for our elders with love, kindness and respect.  It has been an amazing opportunity for me to learn and grow as a person and I am so grateful for the experience and lessons that will guide me towards a better life.
