    This religious order, founded by Saint Jeanne Jugan, is dedicated to serving the elderly poor, providing them with shelter, food, and care, regardless of their background or beliefs. 

  • Bangalore Homes:

    The Little Sisters of the Poor have homes for the aged in Bangalore, including those on Hosur Road and Hennur Road, which serve as centers for their mission. 

  • Pilgrimage & Service:

    Visiting these homes during the Jubilee Year can be seen as a form of pilgrimage, as it allows people to participate in acts of charity and witness the Little Sisters' dedication to serving the most vulnerable. 

  • Jubilee Theme:

    The Jubilee Year 2025, which began on December 29, 2024, with the opening of the Holy Door of Saint Peter's Basilica, emphasizes being "pilgrims of hope" and seeking God's mercy. 

  • Other Jubilee Celebrations:

    The Archdiocese of Bangalore inaugurated the Jubilee Year with a solemn blessing of the Jubilee Cross and a grand procession to the Cathedral. 

  • Foundations in India:

    The Little Sisters of the Poor have several foundations in India, including those in Bangalore, Chennai, Coonoor, Guntur, Mangalore, and other locations.
