On 26th July 2019, the Residents feast was celebrated with a solemn Eucharist, presided over by Bishop Savio Dominic Fernandes, Auxilary Bishop of Mumbai, India. It began with entrance procession. The Residents carried the cross and the candles as we sang “Enter and rejoice ...” The Bishop in his homily told us about the traditional story of St. Ann and Joachim, their trust, their unshakable confidence in God and the obedience of Mary to God’s will. He also requested all the elderly to spend more time in prayer, thus support the church and the entire nation with their powerful intercessions. After mass, Bishop was escorted to dining room where residents welcomed him with loud round of applause and sang feast day song. He presented each one a bottle of Horlicks which was well packed in a shining bag and wished them all all a happy feast. After breakfast he took leave.
At 4.30 pm 10 Associates Jeanne Jugan came to wish our residents on their feast day and conducted new indoor games which were very interesting, kept every one active and joyful. They were very inventive to make our elderly happy with their talents. May God bless and reward them.
