It was a joy for us to celebrate the 25 years of employment in our Home of Mr. Martin, who has been working in the laundry since he began to work in the Home. He is very devoted and helpful in many ways not only in the laundry, but anywhere he is needed in the Home. At the same time we had the “Fare-Well” of Puttamma who has worked for 32 years in the Ladies Infirmary of our Home . She retires from her work now. Our Morning Mass was celebrated for their intentions and was well-animated by the Kannada Choir Members who had come from out. In the evening, there was a felicitation program for both of them, with ponnadai, garlands, greetings and gifts. The program was staged by the Students of St. Mary’s Study House and our own lady employees danced. But it was the dance of our elderly lady Residents with their graceful movements which stole the show and thrilled everyone. The Program was a real manifestation of the Family spirit that reigns which we always try to keep alive in our home!
