Sharing & Receiving - Amazing God's loving Providence!

On April 16, 2020, the Little Sisters of the Poor in Mumbai had the joy of sharing what they had with ninety five building workers who are residing in their premises during the construction work of the Home for the Aged. The very next day, April 17, 2020 they experienced the tremendous love and Mercy of God through his providence during this time of difficulties and crisis. They received groceries and vegetables on that day. Many good people come forward to help the elderly poor of the Home practically every day in way or the other. The Corona Virus - Covid 19 Pandemic made many people to become selfless and charitable. May God bless all of them with abundant blessings.

Birthday Party followed by Silver Jubilee Celebration of Jebamalai in Tuticorin!

February 12, 2020 was the day chosen to celebrate the 25 years of presence of Ms. G. Jebamalai at our home. Since she had no family members she had the joy of having Mother Provincial for her memorable day. After the morning’s thanksgiving Eucharist the Jubilarian was felicitated at the corridor and she distributed sweets for all. Birthday celebrations of our Residents on February 12, 2020! At 3.30 pm on the same day, we gathered in the auditorium to celebrate the birthday party of the Residents. Wonderful Outstanding Women Award to the Little Sisters of the Poor at Tuticorin!

Young Indians (Yi) is a movement for Indian Youth to converge, lead, co-create and influence India’s future. As an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation playing a proactive role in India's development process. This movement chose the Kamaraj College premises to have the Women’s day celebration. The Chief Guest was Mrs. Saundharia Rajesh, the director of Avathar, a cell for rehabilitating women in the career stream and the chief functionaries of Thoothukudi (YI) were present. Interesting events of 2019 at Erode!

INDEPENDENCE DAY! On 15th August 2019, the Lions Club of Turmeric City gathered at our Home to Hoist the Flag on the 73rd Independence Day. There were speeches made by various members of the club. Then one of our Residents Mrs. Namagiri Lakshmi sang a patriotic song and Hoisted the National Flag, and the members of the Lions Club distributed sweats to all. WORLD ELDERS DAY! CELEBRATED BY CEEMA! A team from the Center for Education and Empowerment of the Marginalized (CEEMA) came to our Home on September 9th to celebrate the Elders day with our Residents. The recent happenings at Erode!

Pongal Festival! On January 15, 2020, the Tamil Harvest festival - Pongal was celebrated with usual festivity with rangoli and sugarcane decoration. Early morning before dawn the fire was lit and Pongal was cooked. After Mass our Chaplain Fr. Paul Raj Vincent blessed it and we distributed it to all.
