The recent events at our Home in Secunderabad!

Fun-Fair A Fun-Fair took place at the Little Sisters of the Poor at Secunderabad on November 17th, 2019. Many of our friends and benefactors got involved in the event and extended their service to make it a great success. We are grateful to one and all for their valuable help & generosity and we implore the Lord to bless each one of them abundantly. \ Magic Show Mr S. On 12th of October 2019 a celebration was held at the Little Sisters of the Poor of Tuticorin Home to felicitate Mrs. Jeanammal for her 25 years of presence in the Home. Her adopted son and his family was present. The students of St. Thomas the Apostle Matriculation School gave a cultural program on this occasion. Pilgrimage com Picnic for the elderly of Tuticorin! Benefactors Day celebrated at Mysore Home!

August 31st being Saturday was kept for the celebration of “Benefactors’ Day” - A day we show our appreciation to all those who help us so generously throughout the year. A thanksgiving Eucharist was celebrated for their intentions and for their families which was followed by an entertainment program by our elderly Residents. We profited of this occasion to honor our devoted five VOLUNTEERS who give their services with such dedication – two Doctors – Dr. Mohan Kumar G & Dr. Alphonsa Hamsa, Dr. Bernard Joseph, Physiotherapist, Mrs. Shirly Abraham, Dietician and Mrs. Emily Philomene Raj, the all-rounder. Mini Fete at the Little Sisters of the Poor at Mangalore!

A Mini fete was held at the Little Sisters of the Poor, Mangalore on the 10th November 2019. As our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Victor Machado celebrated his Golden Jubilee of his priesthood this year the Little Sisters invited him to be the Chief Guest of the event along with one of our benefactors, Mr. Edward Saldahna.. It was a beautiful day filled with lots of fun and joy. Thanks to the friends, benefactors and volunteers of the Home it was a great success. May God be praised for such co-operation and generosity. May He also bless one and all abundantly!

Dr. Naina Swarup conducts Dental Camp for our elderly Residents at Mumbai!

We had Dental camp on 29th September 2019 from 10.30 to 11.30 am. Dr.Naina Swarup who is Dento Prosthodontist and implantologist wanted to give her services to the elderly poor. Therefore, she came with her team of two more dentists and conducted a camp for our elderly residents, sisters, and employees.She promised to organise another day for follow up treatment in our home for the residents. She also encouraged us to come to her clinic if any one needs to have dental check up or further treatment for free of cost.May God bless and reward her and her team abundantly!

Residents Day Celebration in MUMBAI!

On 26th July, 2019 the Residents feast was celebrated with solemn Eucharist presided over by our Bishop Most Rev. Dominic Savio. It began with entrance procession. Residents carried the Cross and the Candles,as we sang “Enter and rejoice ..”Bishop in his homily said about the traditional story of St. Ann and Joachim and their trust and unshakable confidence in God, the obedience of Mary to God’s will. He also requested all the elderly to spend more in time in prayer, and thus support the church and the entire nation with their powerful intercession. After Mass, the Bishop was escorted to the dining room where residents welcomed him with loud round of applause and sang the feast day song. He

Commissioner's Visit

The Commissioner of IT visited our Home on 21st July 2019, along with his wife and donated a supply of provisions for the Home.

Exciting Fun Fair at Bangalore St Joseph!

This year our annual FUN-FAIR took place on November 27th. Hectic preparations were going on since quite few months by our friends and benefactors as they usually sponsor this event. At 9.30 am the function was inaugurated by Mr. Mariasundaram Antony, the General Manager (Engineering) of General Electric Company in India. As soon as the gate was opened the crowds flocked to the stalls. The people continued to pour in all throughout the day for the Good Lord had favored us with a very good weather. Thanks to the co-operation and enthusiasm of one and all the fun-fair was a successful one. The proceeds of this event will go towards the maintenance of our Home for the Aged. We sincerely thank

The Elderly Celebrate Deepavali in Guntur!

On 27th October 2019, Major V.R.K. Chary , one of our good benefactors who usually sponsors our residents monthly birthday parties wanted to bring joy to the residents by celebrating Deepavali. It was celebrated by bursting fireworks, which was provided by him. The residents experienced the joy of Deepavali, thus making it a colourful and fun-filled evening. Thank you Major V.R.K.Chary.

The visit of Mr. S.M. Sirajuddin, a member of SANGHAMITRA in Guntur

Mr. S.M. Sirajuddin, a member of SANGHAMITRA (National Awardee) visited the Home in the month of September. Impressed by the service to the elderly in our Home, he promised to come back with his friends bringing provisions which we were in need. He organized a gathering with his Sanghmitra members on October 6th 2019. Mr. B.V. Raman Kumar - State Information Commissioner was also present for this function. He had a very simple and loving approach to the Elderly. As we welcomed him at the entrance, spontaneously he wheeled one of the residents who was on the wheelchair to the Multi-purpose Hall. He was happy to learn about the Home and gave us a good donation before he left. On that day w
