Actress Shilpa Shetty encounters the old folks of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Mumbai!

On May 24, 2019, the actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Mr. Raj Kundra came to our home at 5.30 pm to celebrate their son Viaan Raj’s 7th Birthday with our residents. The little boy cut the Birthday cake and every one wished him by singing birthday song. Then they distributed cake and Marie Biscuits to our residents. They also sponsored the dinner on that day. Shilpa shetty spent an ample time to interact with each resident personally by listening to them. She was happy to serve puri bhaji to our elderly. Just before leaving, the birthday boy performed a beautiful disco dance which cheered every one. They also contributed Rs 5,000 /- towards the reconstruction of our home.

On May 20th 2019, at 4 pm the brothers of the Heralds of the Gospel were with us with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima during this Marian month. She was escorted from the gate, with blue and white flags carried by our Residents and was crowned by Mother Provincial Mary Clara in the Chapel. The Elderly as well as the Little Sisters profited of her maternal presence with us until 6 PM. It was a time of grace for all.

Joyalukkas, Bhumi NGO & Fern Ecotel Hotel celebrate Mothers Day with the Residents of the Little

12th May 2019 – On Sunday, Mother’s Day was celebrated by different groups in our home. At 10.30 am,Young volunteers from Bhumi NGO came to wish our residents on this auspicious day and spent their time with them by conducting the games Housie and they gifted prizes for the winners. Before they could leave the home they said to Sister in the reception that, that day was a great blessing for them. In the morning , the Employees of Joyalukkas Jewelery Company 10 of them came to celebrate Mother’s day.They placed a banner which had a beautiful sayings - “A Mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take.” They wished everyone and distributed Cakes, wafe
