World Day of the Sick celebrated in Kolkata from 9th to 11th February 2019!

The Home in Kolkata was one of the three chosen Health Care Centers to be visited. On Sunday 10th Feb at 8 a.m. was the scheduled time for Delegates to visit our home. Among them were three Bishops: Rev. Bishop Cyprian Monis, Diocese of Asansol, Bishop Vincent Aind, Diocese of Bagdogra, and Bishop Fulgence Aloysius Tigga, Diocese of Raiganj. There were also numerous priests, Religious of different Congregations and lay people who are involved in Health Care and Pastoral Care. Since most of them spoke in Bengali, our Residents benefited from this valuable visit by sharing their life experiences which touched those present. ERODE On 13th March 2019 the Centre for Education and Empowerment of the Marginalized -CEEMA in Erode, Tamil Nadu awared a few women for the extraordinary service to the marginalised of the Society on the occasion of the Internaional Women's Day. Sister Lucy, Superior of the Little Sisters of the Poor at Erode was one of the chosen one among them. Fr. . Pushpanathan Director of CEEMA and Mrs. C. Barbara Lydia Advocate & Notary public presented the Award to the awardees.
